I've been doing a lot of research on dogs and up to now a big fan of Cesar Millan 's (calm down people, unlike most I know that its "forceful" techniques considered in the demonstration are used for dangerous dogs, aggressive and not trained). If you actually read his book you would know that he is full of information on how dogs should be treated properly to exercise discipline and then affection. On being told that I am looking for top dog training positive reinforcement using treats often. My question is, where your dog a command to associate a banquet, and then you eliminate this invitation and hopes to make a command, won 't missing the banquet? I understand that you are supposed to replace the banquet by affection, but are not the same thing to a dog. Can you just use the affection and no treats in training?
