I will take a dog from a shelter or rescue some time this summer. I have a bit of knowledge about dogs and I have spent much time around them, but I was wondering if anyone has some specific books of the training of the dog that you read and thought was very informative. Please ninguÌ? N "Dog Training for Dummies" or any of this guy Cesar 's absurd as I don' t agree with his methods of training. I 'm looking for books that focus on positive training methods (clicker training, etc.).. Thanks in advance! There 's always something to be learned … but I' m not going to lose money on a book that I know I 'll learn the most about what I don' t want to do what worked for me. -) And just to add, we won 't be getting a puppy … we' re aiming for an adult dog, 1-year 6ish or so. Thanks for the suggestions so far!
